Want to win free admission to the most momentous mythicism debate in history? Robert Price will debate Bart Ehrman on whether Jesus existed in Milwaukee on Friday 21 October 2016. And there will be more speakers and people to meet as well. Of course you can always buy a ticket to attend (and should if you want the VIP benefits). But the event sponsor Mythicist Milwaukee has granted me four free general admission tickets to give away in a contest. Spread the news! Share this, and let anyone know about it you think might be interested.
Here is how to win those tickets…
Do you have a local group of friends, atheists, humanists, skeptics, rationalists, or philosophy or history or Jesus myth fans, or any combination thereof, within a six hour drive south or east of Milwaukee? That can be almost anywhere in Indiana, eastern Ohio, northern Illinois, and southern Wisconsin.
I’ll be driving from Columbus to Milwaukee to attend the debate. But I don’t have to go direct. I can go a circuitous route. So I’ll be giving those tickets to anyone who can arrange the following:
- A place to crash for a night on my way to Milwaukee.
- A gathering of fans or any other interested folk who’d love to hang out and chat with me about history or philosophy, at any pub of your choosing (or any house or place you prefer).
I’ll have ample stock to sell of On the Historicity of Jesus (plus some Proving History, Sense and Goodness without God, Why I Am Not a Christian, and Hitler Homer Bible Christ), which I can personally sign and inscribe on request.
You’ll need to be flexible as to the exact evening for the meetup; it could be any weeknight before that Friday. But we’ll lock the exact night down well in advance. I won’t be delivering a speech or anything. I’ll just be showing up, free of charge, to hang out.
The first four people who arrange meetups, in places forming a drivable route, will get the free tickets to that momentous Milwaukee debate. Though how you get to the debate and where you stay, that you’ll have to arrange on your own! All I can get you is free admission.
Any individual or group is welcome to take advantage of this offer. If you arrange it collectively or under a shared group leadership, then you will have to choose among yourselves who gets the one free admission ticket from among you. Only one ticket will be given out for one meetup.
Anyone who wants to inquire about making this happen and winning a free admission, email me to ask questions or talk plans.
