I’ll be at Daniel O’Connell’s Irish Restaurant and Bar in Alexandria (VA) from 7-10pm on Sunday the 12th of March (2017). That’s on 112 King St. And as locals know, that’s in Old Town, just around the corner from Washington, DC. Although it’s a bit of a drive from Baltimore, MD.
You can hang out and chat with me about nearly any subject. And I’ll be selling and signing my books. Including my latest, Science Education in the Early Roman Empire, and of course my most popular, On the Historicity of Jesus. But I’ll also have my collection of peer reviewed research articles in Hitler Homer Bible Christ and my book on Bayesian reasoning Proving History, and hopefully, too, some copies of Sense and Goodness without God, Why I Am Not a Christian, and Not the Impossible Faith.
Keep an eye that night on my twitter or facebook feeds for info on where I am in the place, or if we had to relocate. I’ll start at the bar, but if enough folks show, we’ll move to some tables; and if there isn’t room, we may find another venue in the same neighborhood.
I hope to see you there!
Dear Dr. Carrier ,
How much do you ask for your book On the Historicity of Jesus during events such as this upcoming one ? Thanks in advance.
OHJ is $35 (unfortunately my overhead is steep on that one). The others are all $25 except Hitler Homer Bible Christ, at $20, Science Education in the Early Roman Empire at $15, and Why I Am Not a Christian for $10. And of course, they come with a signature, free.
Update: Due to increased wholesale cost, I’ve had to increase my sale price for Sense and Goodness without God to $29. Unfortunately that’s about three dollars more than Amazon sells it for; they undercut everyone.
