In Irvine, California, on Wednesday August 8, I’ll be speaking on “How Christianity Began without a Real Jesus.” I’ll also be discussing what it was Christians in the beginning were actually dying for (when they even were; hint: it wasn’t for having lunch with a resurrected Jesus). I’ll have all my books on hand to sell and sign (credit cards, personal checks, and cash accepted). There will be a suggested donation at the door of $10 (or more if you can afford, less if you can’t); it will all go to covering my travel expenses. Even a buck or two will help. More will help greatly.

Doors open at 6pm, talk starts at 7. Q&A to follow. I’ll be there until at least 9.

The location is a bit tricky to find. It’s the Irvine Ranch Water District Community Meeting Room, behind the District building on 15500 Sand Canyon Avenue, Irvine, CA. It’s inside the little extension of the main building, near the back of the adjoining strip mall. Here is a map with instructions to help find where we’ll be.

Let all your local friends and colleagues know about this event. People of all faiths welcome.
