Chilean scholar David Cáceres González is slowly translating select blogs of mine into Spanish. It’s pretty cool and well worth letting any Spanish speaking folks know about who might be interested. Spread the word! The site is Mitos o Historia. The translator also offers very affordable Spanish language lessons and translation services, so check that out too, and spread that word the other way around. He could really use the support!
So far he has translated my articles on Caligula being better evidenced than Jesus, the pagan rather than Christian origins of Philanthropy, the many Dying and Rising Gods, and the pagan origins of the Virgin Birth idea. More to come! Spanish speakers are welcome to send him requests of which articles of mine to render into Spanish next.
Is he also hoping to translate Proving History or On the Historicity?
Alas, I probably can’t do those. The foreign language rights are owned by publishers who set standards for a translated edition far too high to meet. But I am working on a shorter pop market version of Historicity that I will control the language rights to, so that may exist someday. But it will be a few more years yet. I could do any of my other books right now though. It’s a thing I’ll ask about eventually, but have been too focused on other things to carry through. But it’s on my radar.
I hope your work will be published in Korean
I would love that.
Anyone who can find a way to distribute a book in Korea should contact me.
For instance, if you can find a publisher in Korea who is interested in contracting me as an author, I might be able find a translator (if they can’t), and I could get them the Korean language rights to much of my catalog. Though not all; I don’t control all the rights to everything, but the publishers that do might still also be amenable, they’d just have to convince them, whereas I’m already on board when it comes to the titles I own full rights to.
Hello. Is your “Why the Gospels are Myth” powerpoint available?
Is your “Why the Gospels are Myth” PowerPoint available ?
No. I don’t use PowerPoint, Keynote; but with very few exceptions my slideshows are just for events. All you’ll ever see of them are in videos where I use them, or live. The content and sources are available in my books and blog articles.
