I will be giving a lecture in Manhattan, NY, on Sunday, June 23rd (2019), from 12-1pm on the ancient mystery religions and their influence on the earliest known (and thus probably original) formulation of Christianity. This will be at the Center for Remembering and Sharing (CRSNY) on 123 4th Ave. (Suite 2), New York, NY (right near 14th Street and a few blocks from Union Square). I will be selling and signing my books. And I’ll possibly go out for drinks after if anyone is interested.
The engagement will be on the 2nd floor. But to attend, please arrive at the reception desk on the 2nd floor and ask for the lecture by Richard Carrier to receive directions. They prefer no one arrive earlier than fifteen minutes prior. I will be asking a $10 donation at the door to my lecture to cover the room fee. Come one, come all! And spread the word. Though most of the material can be found throughout On the Historicity of Jesus, this is a lecture I have not given before. And it will not be recorded.
Note I will also be giving a lecture on ancient science and technology in Long Island the previous Friday evening. I’ll announce details of that when they are available. I shall also be making appearances in Pennsylvania and New Jersey earlier that month, which I will announce the first week of June.

I will be there! Have some questions on what Christians would call evidence for the resurrection. The growth of the church. I am an ex Christian and my brother is trying to get me back in the fold.
I’m not sure what you are asking. But perhaps we can figure out what you most need when you’re there.

If “growth of the church as evidence” is what you are asking about, you will want to either read my book Not the Impossible Faith or my summary of that in the anthology The End of Christianity. Those directly address that question.
If however you want to get into more detail on other evidence regarding the resurrection, the best starting place is my chapter on it in The Christian Delusion.
If however you mean evidence regarding the credibility of modern Christianity, then my book Why I Am Not a Christian is where you’ll want to start.
I’ll only have NIF and Why on hand in NY. Alas, I don’t stock the anthologies anymore. But they might suit your needs even more.
