Can you do a blog post on Mary? I did read your footnote in your book, but I want to know more about her origins.
I assume you mean mother Mary and not the Magdalene, but I don’t know what you mean otherwise. Origins how? She is simply invented in the Gospels to play a role, just as the other famous Mary, the sister of Moses, was simply invented to play a role. There is no evidence she ever existed or had even been conceived of before then. We have no discussions of her invention in any text. No sources on her at all outside the Gospels. Nothing to study. So there is nothing to write about.
