I have a lot going on in April! I’ll be speaking, answering questions, selling & signing books, and hanging out for drinks and conversation at various venues you can get in on. I’ll blog about the second half of April in a week or two. But here’s my schedule for the first half…

Tempe / Phoenix, Arizona

I’ll be speaking on the historicity of Jesus and my book On the Historicity of Jesus at Arizona State University (in SCOB 228, the Schwada Building) the evening of Friday, April 3rd (2015), at 7pm. Details here. Sponsored by the ASU SSA. And yes, attentive calendrists will have heard that right. This is a talk about how Jesus probably didn’t exist … on Good Friday.

Also for anyone anywhere I will be appearing live on Unbelievers Radio the night before that, on April 2 (their usual live show schedule, Thursdays at 7pm MST). (Provided nothing goes wrong with my flight out there that morning.)

A social of some kind will transpire the day after all of that (Saturday, April 4), hosted by the Humanist Society of Greater Phoenix. Details below.

Cincinnati

I’ll be covering the same subject at the University of Cincinnati the evening of Monday, April 6th, at 6:30pm (in TUC 400B). Details here. Sponsored by the UoC SSA.  I won’t be able to sell books at this venue, but we might retire elsewhere afterward where I can make sales (if you attend and are interested in buying books and having them signed, let me know after the event and we’ll fill you in on the evening’s plans).

Oxford

I think I’ll be covering the same subject naturalism as a philosophy and how to apply it to your life at Miami University the evening of Tuesday, April 7th (in 322 of McGuffy Hall, on 210 E. Spring Street). Sponsored by the Secular Students of Miami. The exact time and other details are TBA (but it should appear on the SSoM’s event calendar eventually). I won’t be able to sell books at this venu either, but we might retire elsewhere afterward where I can make sales (if you attend and are interested in buying books and having them signed, let me know after the event and we’ll fill you in on the evening’s plans).

Columbus

I will be speaking on something else (possibly something scandalous. I don’t know!) at Ohio State University the evening of Wednesday, April 8th (at 1858 Neil Ave.). Sponsored by the OSU SSA. The exact time and other details (including what I’ll be speaking on) are TBA. But keep an eye on their Facebook page for an event announcement as the day nears.

Akron

I’ll be back to speaking on the historicity of Jesus and my book On the Historicity of Jesus at the University of Akron the evening of Thursday, April 9th, at 5pm (at 259 South Broadway Street in the College of Business Administration, Room 134). Details here. Sponsored by the Akron SSA.

Cleveland

I’ll be covering the same subject at Case Western Reserve University the evening of Friday, April 10th, at 6pm (in the Thwing Center, Room 201, at 10900 Euclid Avenue). Details here. Sponsored by the Case CFI.

Brooklyn

I’ll be covering the same subject again for CFI North East Ohio the next day as well, the afternoon of Saturday, April 11th, at 2pm (in the library at 4480 Ridge Road, between Memphis & Biddulph). Details here. Yes, not too far away from Cleveland and Case, but this location, time and day might be more accessible to some than the previous. Moreover, for the Brooklyn event, I intend to spend considerable time discussing the specific responses to the theory and the book by specific scholars. So it will even be worthwhile to attend both events if you are particularly interested in the subject.

That will conclude my tour of Ohio.

But on my way home I’m stopping at yet another venue…

Murray, Kentucky

I’ll be speaking on the historicity of Jesus and my book On the Historicity of Jesus at Murray State University the evening of Monday, April 13th, at 7pm (in the Blackburn Science Building, Room 228). Details here. Sponsored by MuSORS.
